Εικαστική έκθεση του IOTOFF «Πακέτα Ενέργειας - Ένας Κόσμος Συμβάντων, Όχι Πραγμάτων»

Το European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies σε συνεργασία με το Μορφωτικό Κέντρο «Ιβάν Σελιμίνσκι»- Ελληνοβουλγαρική Ένωση Πολιτισμού παρουσιάζουν και σας προσκαλούν στα εγκαίνια της ατομικής έκθεσης του IOTOFF  με τίτλο: «Πακέτα Ενέργειας – Ένας Κόσμος Συμβάντων, Όχι Πραγμάτων» την Παρασκευή 16 Μαΐου, στις 18:00, στο European Centre-Contemporary Space Athens, Μητροπόλεως 74, Πλάκα, στην Αθήνα.

Η τέχνη του IOTOFF είναι το απόσταγμα μιας διαρκούς αναζήτησης και μελέτης της θέσης του ανθρώπου μέσα στο σύμπαν, καθώς και του ρόλου της τεχνολογίας στη διαμόρφωση του κόσμου. Εμπνευσμένος από την κβαντική επιστήμη - την οποία τα Ηνωμένα Έθνη τιμούν φέτος, ανακηρύσσοντας το 2025 ως «Διεθνές Έτος Κβαντικής Επιστήμης και Τεχνολογίας» έχει δημιουργήσει μια σειρά από mixed media έργα, που αποσκοπούν στην αφύπνιση ενός αέναου πεδίου δράσης και δημιουργικότητας.

Το κοινό δεν παραμένει απλός παρατηρητής της διαρκώς εξελισσόμενης αισθητικής του, αλλά γίνεται ενεργός αναγνώστης. Άλλοτε θα έρθει αντιμέτωπο με τις προκλήσεις του παρόντος, άλλοτε θα αμφισβητήσει τις βεβαιότητες του παρελθόντος και άλλοτε θα γοητευτεί από τις απεριόριστες δυνατότητες του μέλλοντος.

Λίγα λόγια για τον εικαστικό:

Ο IOTOFF γεννήθηκε το 1955 στη Βουλγαρία και από το 1990 ζει και εργάζεται στην Ελλάδα. Έχει πραγματοποιήσει ατομικές και ομαδικές εκθέσεις σε σημαντικούς χώρους στην Ελλάδα, όπως το Ζάππειον Μέγαρο, η Αίθουσα Τέχνης Αθηνών, το Εθνικό Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο, το Κέντρο Πολιτισμού του Ιδρύματος Μείζονος Ελληνισμού «Ελληνικός Κόσμος», το Μουσείο Βορρέ, η Δημοτική Πινακοθήκη Αθηνών, το Ίδρυμα Πιερίδη, το Ευρωπαϊκό Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο Δελφών, και η Ελληνοαμερικάνικη Ένωση.

Έργα του φιλοξενούνται σε εξέχουσες διεθνείς δημόσιες και ιδιωτικές συλλογές, όπως στο Μουσείο Βορρέ (Αθήνα), το Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης του Ιδρύματος Βασίλη και Ελίζας Γουλανδρή (Άνδρος), το Ίδρυμα Β.& Μ. Θεοχαράκη (Αθήνα), τη συλλογή του Μουσείου Μοντέρνας Τέχνης της Νέας Υόρκης (ΜoΜΑ), το Muzeum Kresów (Πολωνία).

Ένα από τα μεγάλης κλίμακας έργα του είναι μόνιμα εκτεθειμένο στον σταθμό “Ομόνοια” του ΗΣΑΠ στην Αθήνα.

Art exhibition of IOTOFF

“Energy Packets-A World of Events Not Things”

Τhe European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies in collaboration with “Ivan Seliminski Culture Center”- Hellenic-Bulgarian Association present and invite you to the opening of IOTOFF’s Exhibition, entitled: “Energy Packets – A World of Events, Not Things” on Friday,

May 16th, at 18:00 at the European Centre-Contemporary Space Athens, 74, Mitropoleos str., Plaka, in Athens.  

IOTOFF 's art is the distilled essence of a continuous quest and study of humanity’s place within the universe, as well as of technology’s role in shaping the world. Inspired by quantum science—which the United Nations honors this year by declaring 2025 the “International Year of Quantum Science and Technology”—he has created a series of mixed media works aimed at awakening an endless field of action and creativity.

The audience is not merely a passive observer of his ever-evolving aesthetic but becomes an active reader. They will confront the challenges of the present, question the certainties of the past, and be captivated by the boundless possibilities of the future.

A few words about the visual artist: IOTOFF was born in 1955 in Bulgaria and has been living and working in Greece since 1990. He has held solo and group exhibitions in prominent venues across Greece, including the Zappeion Megaron, The Athens Art Gallery, the National Archaeological Museum, the Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Center, the Vorres Museum, the Athens Municipal Gallery, the Pierides Foundation, the European Cultural Centre of Delphi, and the Hellenic American Union.

His works are part of major international public and private collections, such as the Vorres Museum (Athens), the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation (Andros), the B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation (Athens), the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, and the Muzeum Kresów, Poland.

One of his large-scale installations is permanently displayed at the “Omonia” ISAP station in Athens.
